וכלהון ישראל אתיחסו והא אנון כתיבין על ספר מלכיא דבית ישראל ומלכיא דבית יהודה ואזלו בגלותא לבבל מטול שקריהון:
shqryhwn mTwl lbbl bglwtha wazlw yhwdh dbyth wmlkya yshral dbyth mlkya spr el kthybyn anwn wha athykhsw yshral wklhwn
So all Israel were listed by genealogies; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience.

ודהוו יתבין קדמאין די באחסנתהון בקרויהון ישראל כהניא ולואי ונתינאי:
wnthynay wlway khnya yshral bqrwyhwn bakhsnthhwn dy qdmayn ythbyn wdhww
Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the temple servants.

ובירושלם יתיבו מן בני דיהודה ומן בני בנימין ומן בני אפרים ומן בני מנשה:
mnshh bny wmn aprym bny wmn bnymyn bny wmn dyhwdh bny mn ythybw wbyrwshlm
In Jerusalem, there lived of the children of Judah, of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:

עותי בר עמיהוד בר עמרי בר בני מן בני פרץ בר יהודה:
yhwdh br prts bny mn bny br emry br emyhwd br ewthy
Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

ומן שבטא שילה עשיה בוכריה ובנוהי:
wbnwhy bwkryh eshyh shylh shbTa wmn
Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.

ומן בני זרח יעואל ואחיהון שית מאה ותשעים:
wthsheym mah shyth wakhyhwn yewal zrkh bny wmn
Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel and their brothers, six hundred ninety.

ומן בני בנימין סלוא בר משלם בר הודויה בר הסנאה:
hsnah br hwdwyh br mshlm br slwa bnymyn bny wmn
Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;

ויבניה בר ירחם ואלה בר עזי בר מכרי ומשלם בר שפטיה בר רעואל בר יבניה:
ybnyh br rewal br shpTyh br wmshlm mkry br ezy br walh yrkhm br wybnyh
and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

ואחיהון לזרעיתהון תשע מאה חמשים ואשתה כל אלין גבריא רישי בית אבהן לבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn lbyth abhn byth ryshy gbrya alyn kl washthh khmshym mah thshe lzreythhwn wakhyhwn
and their brothers, according to their generations, nine hundred fifty-six. All these men were heads of fathers’ households by their fathers’ houses.

ומן כהניא ידעיה ויהויריב ויכין:
wykyn wyhwyryb ydeyh khnya wmn
Of the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jachin,

ועזריה בר חלקיה בר משלם בר צדוק בר מריות בר אחיטוב סרכן על בית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha byth el srkn akhyTwb br mrywth br tsdwq br mshlm br khlqyh br wezryh
and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of God’s house;

ועדיה בר ירחם בר פשחור בר מלכיה ומעשי בר עדיאל בר יחזרה בר משלם בר משלמית בר אמר:
amr br mshlmyth br mshlm br ykhzrh br edyal br wmeshy mlkyh br pshkhwr br yrkhm br wedyh
and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah; and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

ואחיהון ממנן לרישין לבית אבהתהון אלפא ושבע מאה ואשתין גברי חילא ממנן על עבידת פולחן בית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha byth pwlkhn ebydth el mmnn khyla gbry washthyn mah wshbe alpa abhthhwn lbyth lryshyn mmnn wakhyhwn
and their brothers, heads of their fathers’ houses, one thousand seven hundred sixty; they were very able men for the work of the service of God’s house.

ומן ליואי שמעיה בר חשוב בר עזריקם בר חשביה מן בני מררי:
mrry bny mn khshbyh br ezryqm br khshwb br shmeyh lyway wmn
Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

ובקבקר חרש וגלל ומתניה בר מיכא בר זכרי בר אסף:
asp br zkry br myka br wmthnyh wgll khrsh wbqbqr
and Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph,

ועובדיה בר שמעיה בר גלל בר ידותון וברכיה בר אסא בר אלקנה דיתיב בקרוי נטופתאי:
nTwpthay bqrwy dythyb alqnh br asa br wbrkyh ydwthwn br gll br shmeyh br wewbdyh
and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

ותרעיא שלום ועקוב וטלמון ואחימן ואחוהון שלום דממנן ברישא:
brysha dmmnn shlwm wakhwhwn wakhymn wTlmwn weqwb shlwm wthreya
The gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief),

ועד הכא בתרע פלטירין דמלכא מדינחא הנון תרעיא למשרית בני לוי:
lwy bny lmshryth threya hnwn mdynkha dmlka plTyryn bthre hka wed
who previously served in the king’s gate eastward. They were the gatekeepers for the camp of the children of Levi.

ושלום בר קורא בר אביאסף בר קרח ואחוהי לבית אבוהי קרחיא על עבידת פולחן נטרי שקופיה למשכנא ואבהתהון ממנן על משריתא דיי נטרי מעלנא:
melna nTry dyy mshrytha el mmnn wabhthhwn lmshkna shqwpyh nTry pwlkhn ebydth el qrkhya abwhy lbyth wakhwhy qrkh br abyasp br qwra br wshlwm
Shallum was the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father’s house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent. Their fathers had been over Yahweh’s camp, keepers of the entry.

ופינחס בר אלעזר סרכן הוה עליהון מלקדמין מן יומא דאתוקם משכן זמנא במדברא ומימרא דיי הוה בסעדיה:
bsedyh hwh dyy wmymra bmdbra zmna mshkn dathwqm ywma mn mlqdmyn elyhwn hwh srkn alezr br wpynkhs
Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him.

זכריה בר משלמיה ממנא על תרע משכן זמנא:
zmna mshkn thre el mmna mshlmyh br zkryh
Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper of the door of the Tent of Meeting.
22
כלהון אתבחרו לתרעיא בשקופיא מאתן ותריסר הנון בקרויהון ואתיחסותהון הנון עשרין וארבע מטרתא דתקינו דוד ושמואל נביא בהימנותהון:
bhymnwthhwn nbya wshmwal dwd dthqynw mTrtha warbe eshryn hnwn wathykhswthhwn bqrwyhwn hnwn wthrysr mathn bshqwpya lthreya athbkhrw klhwn
All these who were chosen to be gatekeepers in the thresholds were two hundred twelve. These were listed by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their office of trust.

והנון ובניהון ממנן על תרעיא לבית מקדשא דיי ולבית מקדשא למטרתא:
lmTrtha mqdsha wlbyth dyy mqdsha lbyth threya el mmnn wbnyhwn whnwn
So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of Yahweh’s house, even the house of the tent, as guards.

לארבעתי טריגונין יהוון ממנן על תרעיא מדינחא אשתה מטרתא מערבא אשתה מטרא צפונא אשתה מטרתא דרומא אשתה מטרתא:
mTrtha ashthh drwma mTrtha ashthh tspwna mTra ashthh merba mTrtha ashthh mdynkha threya el mmnn yhwwn Trygwnyn larbethy
On the four sides were the gatekeepers, toward the east, west, north, and south.

ואחיהון בקרויהון למיעל לשבעת יומין מזמן לזמן עם אלין:
alyn em lzmn mzmn ywmyn lshbeth lmyel bqrwyhwn wakhyhwn
Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them,

ארום בהימנותא עלוי הנון עבדין ארבעתי גבריא תרעיא הנון ליואי והוון ממנן על לשכתא ועל תסבריא בבית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha bbyth thsbrya wel lshktha el mmnn whwwn lyway hnwn threya gbrya arbethy ebdyn hnwn elwy bhymnwtha arwm
for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house.

וחזרנות בית מקדשא דיי יביתון ארום עלויהון מטרתא והנון ממנן על אקלידיא למיחד ולמפתח בעדן צפר בצפר:
btspr tspr bedn wlmpthkh lmykhd aqlydya el mmnn whnwn mTrtha elwyhwn arwm ybythwn dyy mqdsha byth wkhzrnwth
They stayed around God’s house, because that was their duty; and it was their duty to open it morning by morning.

ומנהון ממנן על מאני פולחנא מטול דבמנינא מעילין להון ובמנינא מפקין להון:
lhwn mpqyn wbmnyna lhwn meylyn dbmnyna mTwl pwlkhna many el mmnn wmnhwn
Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service, for these were brought in by count, and these were taken out by count.

ומנהון ממנן על מאניא ועל מאני קודשא ועל סלתא דמנחתא וחמר נסוכא ולבונת אדכרתא ובושמיא דקטרתא:
dqTrtha wbwshmya adkrtha wlbwnth nswka wkhmr dmnkhtha sltha wel qwdsha many wel manya el mmnn wmnhwn
Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.
30
ומן בני כהניא הוון אמנין בעבידת קטורת מבשם בשמנין לבשמיא:
lbshmya bshmnyn mbshm qTwrth bebydth amnyn hwwn khnya bny wmn
Some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixing of the spices.
31
ומתתיה מן ליואי הוא בוכרא לשלום מן זרעית קרח ממנן בהימנותא על עובד מנחת מסריתא :
msrytha mnkhth ewbd el bhymnwtha mmnn qrkh zreyth mn lshlwm bwkra hwa lyway mn wmththyh
Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans.

ומן בני קהת ומן אחוהון ממנן על לחם סדורא לתקנא על פתורא שבא בשבא:
bshba shba pthwra el lthqna sdwra lkhm el mmnn akhwhwn wmn qhth bny wmn
Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

ואלין משבחיא רישי אבהתא לליואי בלשכתא דפטורין ארום יימם ולילי עלויהון בעיבידתא:
beybydtha elwyhwn wlyly yymm arwm dpTwryn blshktha llyway abhtha ryshy mshbkhya walyn
These are the singers, heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, who lived in the rooms and were free from other service, for they were employed in their work day and night.

אלין רישי אבהתא לליואי לזרעיתהון רישיא אלין יתיבו בירושלם:
byrwshlm ythybw alyn ryshya lzreythhwn llyway abhtha ryshy alyn
These were heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, throughout their generations, chief men. They lived at Jerusalem.

ובגבעון יתיבו אבהתהון דגבעונאי יעיאל ושום אתתיה מעכה:
mekh aththyh wshwm yeyal dgbewnay abhthhwn ythybw wbgbewn
Jeiel the father of Gibeon, whose wife’s name was Maacah, lived in Gibeon.

ובריה בוכרא עבדון וצוד וקיש ובעל ונר ונדב:
wndb wnr wbel wqysh wtswd ebdwn bwkra wbryh
His firstborn son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

ומקלות אוליד ית שמאם וברם אנון קבל אחוהון יתיבו בירושלם עם אחוהון:
akhwhwn em byrwshlm ythybw akhwhwn qbl anwn wbrm shmam yth awlyd wmqlwth
Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. They also lived with their relatives in Jerusalem, near their relatives.

ונר אוליד ית קיש וקיש אוליד ית שאול ושאול אוליד ית יהונתן וית מלכישוע וית אבינדב וית אשבעל:
ashbel wyth abyndb wyth mlkyshwe wyth yhwnthn yth awlyd wshawl shawl yth awlyd wqysh qysh yth awlyd wnr
Ner became the father of Kish. Kish became the father of Saul. Saul became the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
40
ובר יהונתן מריב בעל ומריב בעל אוליד ית מיכה:
mykh yth awlyd bel wmryb bel mryb yhwnthn wbr
The son of Jonathan was Merib-baal. Merib-baal became the father of Micah.
41
ובני מיכה פיתון ומלך ותחרע ואחז:
wakhz wthkhre wmlk pythwn mykh wbny
The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42
ואחז אוליד ית יערה ויערה אוליד ית עלמת וית עזמות וית זמרי וזמרי אוליד ית מוצא:
mwtsa yth awlyd wzmry zmry wyth ezmwth wyth elmth yth awlyd wyerh yerh yth awlyd wakhz
Ahaz became the father of Jarah. Jarah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri became the father of Moza.
43
ומוצא אוליד ית בנעא ורפיה בנו אלעשה בנו אצל בנו:
bnw atsl bnw aleshh bnw wrpyh bnea yth awlyd wmwtsa
Moza became the father of Binea, Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
44
ולאצל אשתה בנין ואלין שמהתהון עזריקם בוכריה וישמעאל ושעריה ועובדיה וחנן אלין בני אצל:
atsl bny alyn wkhnn wewbdyh wsheryh wyshmeal bwkryh ezryqm shmhthhwn walyn bnyn ashthh wlatsl
Azel had six sons, whose names are Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
